Phoenix NAP utilizes extremely efficient S&C PureWave UPS Systems and N+1 diesel generators on each side of a v split bus to ensure continual power flow to your racks in the event that the utility power grid is down. The PureWave has a 99 percent efficiency rating for a smooth, unnoticeable transition between power sources in the event of a utility outage. This enables the S&C units to sit higher in the power distribution chain, adding to their redundancy as both A and B power feeds are running through them.
Featuring a meantime between failure (MTBF) of more than 200,000 hours, the PureWave UPS units also have battery packs that are specially designed. As opposed to a traditional battery string, if any battery inside our UPS container goes out, the rest of the batteries in that container keep providing power storage.
Unique to our data center, our UPS system is housed in NEMA 3 enclosures in a secured mechanical yard, freeing up more space inside for your servers.
